My Evolution with EFT Tapping: A Journey from Skepticism to Mastery
As the founder of the Orangeville Dowsers, I have always been on the lookout for innovative techniques that could enhance the well-being of our members. Our group, which numbered around 40 individuals, had been a fertile ground for sharing and discovering holistic practices. It was in this very environment that my evolution with EFT tapping began.
More than three decades ago, a dear friend and professional in his own right, Mark Brewer, introduced our group to a process that seemed almost too good to be true. EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, was the topic of his presentation, complete with charts and handouts that promised a world of benefits. Mark demonstrated the tapping technique, and I must admit, my initial reaction was one of disbelief. How could tapping on certain points of your head lead to any significant change?
Despite my skepticism, the turning point came when I applied EFT to a persistent toothache that had tormented me for years. To my astonishment, the pain subsided and never returned. This experience was a revelation; it was the moment I became a tapping convert. I immersed myself in the practice, acquiring some 50 videos that showcased EFT's effectiveness on a plethora of issues. Each application brought about amazing results, and my confidence in the technique grew exponentially.
However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The odd reactions from onlookers when I used EFT in public were disconcerting, and for a time, I found myself hesitant to employ the technique openly.
My journey with EFT took a significant turn when I trained as a hypnotist. My teacher, well-versed in a variety of healing modalities, introduced the class to EFT. I was already familiar with the technique, and this familiarity brought a sense of comfort and validation. The real deepening of my expertise came when I pursued certification through the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy. There, I encountered a comprehensive section on tapping, and my mastery of EFT was cemented.
Today, I am recognized as a master in many modalities, and tapping is a cornerstone of my toolkit. There is literally no challenge I shy away from because my experience has shown that with EFT, results are not just possible—they're expected.
To those who are curious about EFT or tapping, I offer this advice: Approach it with an open mind and a willingness to explore its potential. The simplicity of the technique belies its profound impact. Whether you are dealing with physical pain, emotional distress, or seeking to enhance your personal development, EFT tapping can be a transformative practice.
In sharing my journey with EFT, I hope to inspire others to discover the power of this remarkable technique. From a place of skepticism to a position of mastery, my evolution with EFT tapping is a testament to its efficacy and versatility. Embrace the possibility of change, and you, too, may find amazing transformation at your finger tips.
